I hope you tell him that a lot and give him frequent pettings. It's so impressive that he needed barely any cautionary training to understand that Maggie is the third human resident and that she needs his protection.  Not only that, but sometimes he looks in the photos as if he actually likes her company or even feels affection for her.  Can that be?
